Fern W. Hinke age 75 of Maquoketa Iowa died on Friday morning April 222005.0 at the Genesis Medical Center West Campus in Davenport Iowa.



A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 2 P.M. Monday April 252005.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa with Rev. Gerald Gjerde of the First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa Iowa officiating. Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 P.M. on Sunday April 242005.0 from the Carson & Son Funeral And Cremation Services in Maquoketa. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery Maquoketa Iowa.



Fern W. Waite was born on May 22 1929 in Maquoketa Iowa to Clyde C. Waite and Alma M. (Beck) Waite. She was a 1946 graduate of Maquoketa Community High School. She married Norman K. Norm Hinke on September 4 1949 in Nashua Iowa.



Fern first worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator for five years. She then raised a family and became the bookkeeper for the family business Hinke Plumbing in Maquoketa.

Fern is survived by: her husband- Norman K. Norm Hinke of Maquoketa IA; children- Jan Hinke of Davenport IA Jeff(Donna) Hinke of Escondido CA & Amy Hinke of Davenport IA; a brother- Don(Carolyn) Waite of Sebring FL; a sister- Marilyn(Mrs. Don) Wallace of Freeport IL; 2 grandchildren & 2 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents & 1 brother- Paul Waite on January 20 2000.
