n college barracks for two years until he graduated in 1957 with a BA in business. Arvin was hired at National Travelers Life, spending the bulk of his career in marketing and recruiting. Following his retirement in 1986, he spent several years in personal sales. Arvin was an active member of Meredith Drive Reformed Church, serving as an elder and Sunday school teacher. He especially enjoyed his time on the church's evangelism committee. He loved his family and his Lord and savored every moment he spent with his grandchildren. Arvin enjoyed woodworking, restoring antique furniture, trips to visit Wisconsin relatives, and winters in Arizona where he played golf and pickleball. He was a Grimes Lion's Club member for many years. Arvin is survived by his wife, Ruth, his sister Dorothy (Maynard DeVries), and his brother Mark (Kay); three daughters, Carla (Kevin Kregel), Greta (Ross McCarty), and Sara (Steve Davis); six grandchildren, Nathan McCarty (Ashley), Nick McCarty, Hannah (Kregel) DeJong (Luke), Jack Kregel, Dylan Davis, and Emma Davis; and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Maddie McCarty.
