Glenyce S. Sievers, 75, of Bloomington, MN, formerly of Gladbrook, died Monday, October 29, 2018 at her home. She was born March 5, 1943 in Marshalltown the daughter of Elwood and Erma (Schulz) Sievers. Glenyce grew up in the Gladbrook/Garwin area. She was a 1961 graduate of Garwin High School, received her degree in Elementary Education in 1965 from Iowa State University and received her Master's Degree from Hamlin University. She began teaching in the Bloomington Public Schools in the fall of 1965 and remained there for 38 years until she retired. Glenyce was a member of Gladbrook Peace United Church of Christ, Book Club, Antiquestors and Quilting Group. She enjoyed spending time on her family farm, traveling, concerts, reading, painting, needle work and historical architecture. Survived by: her aunt, Pearl Goos of Cedar Falls; numerous cousins; friends and her furry companion, Lily. Preceded in death by: her parents and a brother, Gary Sievers in infancy.
