c abilities in sewing and cooking. Her family was always her highest priority. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and attended West Hill United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge #579 where she enjoyed the live music on weekends. Survivors include her four daughters; Sharon (Bruce) Petersen of Lisle, Illinois, Kathy (Bruce) Allen of Richfield, Utah, Connie Schleif of West Burlington, Rae Lynn Schleif of Perrysburg, Ohio, and an adopted daughter Hue Dinh of Norwalk, California; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one brother, James Harry (Nancy) Blanchard of Columbia, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, a granddaughter, Dani (Petersen) Baker, her three brothers Russell Elbert Blanchard, Herbert Eugene Blanchard and Donald Lee Blanchard, and her adopted son, Luu Dinh. The memorial service for Mrs. Schleif will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 23, at Lunning Chapel. The family will officiate her service. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the memorial service. Interment will be held in Denmark Cemetery, Denmark, Iowa. In lieu of flowers a donation is requested to "Freedom School" to assist at-risk children in strengthening their reading. Checks to be made payable to "Maumee Watershed District UMC".
