Survived by children: daughter Nellie Hope Moore of Plano, Texas; son Ray Maupin of Las Vegas, Nevada, son Clyde Maupin of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and Don Maupin of Las Vegas, Nevada. Gonzalina had 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was so overjoyed several years ago when her niece was finally able to leave Cuba in the early 2000's, and would visit her often in Florida.
Gonzalina met and married her husband Raymond Maupin in Cuba and they came to the US and settled in his home state of Missouri. She was a wife, homemaker and dutiful mother, devout Roman Catholic, and participated in church and community functions. Her parishes were Blessed Sacrament in Kansas City, Missouri and St. Mary's Church in Independence, Missouri. She taught her children to sing together in the 1960's, and they would often perform in hospitals and nursing homes in Kansas City.

commented on how she loved to sing all the time, her favorite song "God Bless America". She had sung on the radio in her home country of Cuba, in the 1940's, before coming here to the U.S.
