ioned officer. Joe was extremely proud of his military achievements and wore them well. As a civilian, he earned a Diploma in Medical Technology from the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, where he settled after his active military service. Using the knowledge and skills acquired from his course of study, Joe worked for pharmaceutical companies doing medical research. During his years prior to retirement, he worked for Wyeth Laboratories where he concentrated his research on the causes of and cures for hypertension - officially known as cardiovascular pharmacology. During this phase of his life, Joe met, wooed, and loved Carolyn Callahan. Together they produced Joe's only child, Sean Callahan-Dinish. After retiring from his civilian life's work, Joe moved to and settled in Port Charlotte, Florida; where he began a new phase of life - one filled with family, social, and religious activities. He was always an avid golfer and now found more and more time to engage in the sport. He found a spiritual home among the pastor and congregants of Pilgrim United Church of Christ, where he so much enjoyed the services that nourished his soul. He was predeceased in life by his four siblings: Monroe Leslie Dinish, David Halbert Dinish, Mary Wilbur Street Anderson, and Elsie Tommie Ford. In addition to his beloved and passionately cherished son, Sean Callahan-Dinish, Joe is mourned and survived by a host of nieces and nephews, who all feel the loss acutely, but lovingly release him to yet another beginning.
