Roseann L. Brummer, age 96, of Council Bluffs, passed away November 20, 2018 at Fox Run Assisted Living. Rosie was born July 3, 1922 in Dunlap, Iowa to the late Oscar and Mabel (Emge) Skow. She graduated from St. Joseph's High School, Dunlap in 1940. Rosie married Gerald R. "Jake" Brummer on June 14, 1947. They were blessed with two children. Rosie and her husband owned and operated the Pink Poodle Restaurant in Crescent, Aeroplane Inn in Honey Creek, Purple Onion in Walnut and the Ambassador Lounge and Chalet Inn in Council Bluffs. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Altar & Rosary Society. In addition to her parents, Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Jake Brummer in 2005; son-in-law, Kent Stricker; 1 sister and 3 brothers. Rosie is survived by her daughter, Candy Stricker of Chicago, Illinois; son, Ron (Linda) Brummer of Council Bluffs; 4 grandchildren, Mandy (Matt) Freer, Shane (Tricia) Brummer, Hans Brummer, Tracy (Mario) Brummer; 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 11 step great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
