and wrote many books in his efforts to change the course of America. He ran for congress several times in California and WI with the goal of bettering the country for his children and grandchildren. He loved gardening, socializing, and would throw a party to celebrate just about anything. Many great parties were staged during his life starting at U of M, then in California (San Diego, Palo Alto, Corona del Mar, Santa Rosa) and Madison, WI. He is survived by his daughters, Leslie Redick (The Sea Ranch, CA) and Andrea Redick Nilsen (Madison, WI), grandchildren Erick Nilsen (Madison, WI) and Margaret Nilsen (Madison, WI), brothers Milton Redick (Spring Lake, MI) and Ron Redick (Grand Rapids, MI) as well as many nephews, nieces, extended family and wonderful friends. David was preceded in death by his mother and father, Franklin and Marjorie Redick (Michigan). A final party will be thrown to celebrate David's life at a later date (tentatively planned for June 2019 in Ann Arbor, MI).
