several of them being adopted. He had a passion for photography. Delbert's overseas assignments and vacations in Australia, South Africa and on Alaskan Cruise afforded him the opportunity to photograph a wide variety of subjects, he was passionate for. He was an avid member of the San Angelo Photography Club until his illness.
He loved wildlife and nature and it was not unusual to find him walking the paths of the state parks with a camera in hand looking for unusual shots. He loved music and loved to sing and would burst into song on any occasion. Delbert had a wonderful voice! His favorite song was "Would You Like To Swing On A Star". He sang this to his own children and to all the children that was a part of his life, many of who called him Gruncle.
You are swinging on your star now my darling, keep a spot for us.
Special thanks to Dr. John Harvey for the compassionate care through the years. Special thanks to Hospice of San Angelo and their dedicated caring nurses especially Cindy and Miranda. Special thanks to dear friend, Ann Schuckert, for being there for us and ready to help at a moment's notice.
