grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She cherished her time with her Sorority Sisters of Beta Sigma Phi for over 64 years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters for many years and an active and dedicated member of Epiphany Parish St. Joseph Catholic Church. Donna spent many years at Interstate Power, the Tupperware Distribution Center and Allied Purchasing. After retiring, she spent over 20 years volunteering at Mercy Hospital Gift Shop. She also spent many years at the Hy-Vee East Bakery sharing her sweet samples out. Donna is survived by her children, Carey Umbarger of Garner, IA, Ray (Kellie) Umbarger of Gilbert, AZ, Bobbi Thomas of West Des Moines, IA and Eric Umbarger of Grimes, IA; siblings, Sr. Bonita of Dubuque, IA, Sr. Rayanne of Mason City, IA and Sr. Donna of Dubuque, IA; grandchildren, Gabriel, Grady and Samuel Umbarger of Garner, IA, Lindsay Umbarger of Gilbert, AZ, Taylor and Isaiah Thomas of West Des Moines, IA, Lindzie (Matt) Wyborny of Mason City, IA and Sydney, Jacob and Grace Umbarger of Grimes, IA; and great-grandchildren, Brody and Charlee of Mason City, IA. Donna was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert "Bob" Umbarger; and parents, Raymond and Bonita Determan. The family would like to sincerely thank the caregivers in the CCU at Mercy Hospital and the staff at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit for their compassionate efforts in her care.
