Mr. Leslie Bowman Johnson, age 95, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on May 11, 1923 to Carl & Maude (Bowman) Johnson and served his country in the US Navy during World War II and then graduated from Michigan State University. He married the former Barbara Morehouse on May 16, 1958 and had been employed as a Recruiter and District Manager for Consumers Power for 36 years until retiring. Leslie was a member of First Congregational Church UCC. He was a ferocious reader who loved sports, playing Bridge and crossword puzzles. He will be greatly missed.
SURVIVORS
Sons, Gary Johnson of Lansing, Mark Johnson of Muskegon; grandchildren, Alex, Daniel & Laura Johnson; sister, Marilyn Berglund of IA; special niece, Peggy Johnson; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara in 2009; brother, Dick and sister, Ginny.
