Shelli Shoop

Shelli J. Shoop, 61, of Elmwood, passed away at 11:03 am, Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on April 20, 1957, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Harry and Patricia (Higginbotham) Pearce. Shelli married Marvin Shoop on November 7, 1981, in Peoria. He survives along with her mother; step-father, Don Chepan; and three children, Barry Shoop of Elmwood, Kevin (Jenny) Shoop of Elmwood, and Nicole Shoop of Elmwood. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Skylar Pearce. Shelli was a 1975 graduate of Woodruff High School in Peoria. She received a Bachelor's of Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Springfield. She loved sunrises, sunsets, butterflies, scrapbooking, volunteering, and raising her children. Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., on Sunday, February 17, 2019, at the United Methodist Church in Elmwood. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m., at the church. A luncheon will also be provided after the service at the church. Memorials may be made to the Elmwood Fire Department and B.Y.E.
