als, fishing and barbequing for his family. He never met a stranger, an yon: that came by the house left with a full belly. He had the biggest sweet tooth and his favorite candy was peppermint, if you checked his pockets you would always find one there. He loved music and he would spend hours listening to Sam Cooke and BB King. Dad resided at the VA in Big Spring TX for the past 3 years. He touched the hearts of every veteran and stole the hearts of every nurse. They affectionately referred to him as "Poppa" and he was loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son (Ronnie) and his eight siblings. He leaves to cherish his memories his sons James Carson, Claude Carson/Johanna and daughters Ermalinda Jenkins/Charles, Twila Carson, and Beauty Minix/Ray and host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind a host of friends. Visitation will be held at Harper Funeral Home on January 4, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services celebrating the life of Claude James McNally will be held at Galilee Baptist Church on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1:00.
