Raymond "Ray" M. Trosen, age 84, of Burlington, died Monday, January 7, 2019 at Great River Medical Center Hospice House.
Born April 13, 1934 in Burlington, he was the son of Fred and Virginia (Bloomer) Trosen. He married Judith Richardson in 1954, they later divorced. He married Marti Sly June 21, 2003 in Burlington.
Ray graduated from Burlington High School in 1953 and attended Burlington Jr. College for 1 year. He was a dealer at the casino for 15 years and worked in retail.
He was a former vice president of the Steamboat Senior Citizen's Center. He was a huge Bears, Hawkeyes and Cubs fan. He loved playing football as a youth, gambling, fishing, watching football, and wrestling, playing cards, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Marti; six daughters, Elizabeth (Kevin) Keck of Apache Jct., AZ, Amy Oliver of Melborne, FL, Cynthia Tschetter of Kokomo, IN, Jennifer (Mark) Lunghoffer of Valparaiso, IN, Amy Purdum of Burlington, IA and Apryl Green of Augusta, KS; one son, Samuel (Danni) Bindel of Bellvue, NE; nineteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; three great- great grandchildren; two sisters, Alberta Hubbard of Little Rock, AR and V...[more]

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and six sisters.
Pastor Jim Trosen will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
