Joseph S. Sulentic, age 81, of Council Bluffs, passed away January 9, 2019 at Midlands Living Center. Joe was born March 7, 1937 in Council Bluffs to the late Joe and Bernice (Harrison) Sulentic. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Joe married Renita Doughman in 1970. He owned and operated Sulentic's Café for 15 years. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Sulentic and two brothers. Joe is survived by his wife, Renita Sulentic of Council Bluffs; sons, Lance (Aleta) Sulentic of Persia, Iowa, Joey Sulentic, Dick Christensen, David (R.C.) Christensen; daughters, Jennine (Bill) Baker all of Council Bluffs, Valerie (Greg) Oldham of Gothenburg, Nebraska; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Rich (Tina) Sulentic of Council Bluffs; nieces, nephews and many friends.
