Thelma was very independent, insisted on doing everything for herself up until 2011 when a stroke and age limited her. She loved cooking, baking, gardening, sewing and took cake decorating classes late in life. An avid fan of both WWE wrestling and country music, she had a special place in her heart for Hulk Hogan and Kenny Rogers, and most recently Michael Buble. The funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, January 19th at Fred Hunter Funeral Home located at 6301 Taft Street, Hollywood, Florida 33024. Visitation will be held 10:00 am at Fred Hunter Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements will be handled by Fred Hunter Funeral Home. Thelma is survived by her children Charles Jesse Marshall (Dorinda), Winston (Linda), Philip (Greer), Gerard, Judy Marshall-Jones (Chauncey), Margaret Haynes (Wayne) and Donna Francois (Phedre). Loving grandmother of Beverly, Lisa, Gina, Jessica, Wendell, Shawn, Warren, Clint, Kyndell, Alesha, Liana, Geneva, Anthony, Andre, Marcus, Jason, Raushan, Jason and Kaylee. Great grandmother of sixteen. Aunt of Cynthia, Monica, Patricia, Garvin, Bobby, Coleen, Yvonne, Pat, Frankie, Ronnie, Roma, Mervyn and Carol. She will be sadly missed by numerous family and friends, as well as a brother-in-law, Ruthven Farroe of Pembroke Pines. Thelma is preceded in death by her daughter, Janet, her son, Ian (Cynthia), and her four sisters Nita, Corina, Pearl, and Lucita.
