Laura B. Langford

Laura Bell Langford daughter of Earlie and Maggie Turner. Laura was born in Birmingham, AL. Laura's family moved to Indianapolis, IN when she was a little girl. Laura accepted Christ as her Savoir as a young girl and her faith grew, Laura was a member of Light of the World Baptist Church. Laura attend Crispus Attucks High School where she received her Diploma and her LPN license. Laura married Eddie Langford and the moved to California where they raised 4 kids Eddie Langford, Genise Langford, Margie Jones and Melinda Steen. Laura always wanted to be a Nurse and she followed her passion to become a Nurse. Laura worked hard to accomplish her goals. Laura received her license to become a Register Nurse on June 19, 1975. Laura was appointed by Govern Evan Bayh on February 16, 1994 to service as the Executive Director of the Indianapolis Health Profession Bureau. Laura also received the Sagamores of Wabash given by Evan Bayh twice. Laura was also a member of the CHI ETA PHI Sorority, Sisters for Life. His support and Love helped our mother become the Shining Star she was. Laura made sure that Eddie received his Honorary Degree for putting Laura through school and helping to raise their kids together always working as a team. Laura Langford was the Matriarch of her Family. Laura made sure that her family was taken care of and that they came first. Our mom touched so many lives and she will be missed.
