Curt Marshall passed away on January 14, 2019 in Seattle, Washington. He was born on September 23, 1961 in Washington DC. He lived in places such as Dallas, Texas, Detroit, Michigan, Munich Germany, Virginia and North Carolina as well as the cities of Bothell, Snohomish and Kirkland in Washington State. He received degrees from Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina and from Bellevue College in Bellevue, Washington. In 1994 he was hired by the Social Security Administration where he worked in the Office of Hearings and Appeals in Dallas, Texas before transferring in 1996 to the Seattle Office of Hearings and Appeals where he worked until his passing. During his tenure there he was well liked by his coworkers and received several awards for his hard work. He loved to travel to places both near and far. During college he traveled to several countries in Europe and several years later he and his wife Andrea traveled to Reykjavik, Iceland, Australia (Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Cairns) and the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, Canada. mbia Canada. He loved hiking, the outdoors, and trying adventurous new things such as zip lining, parasailing and jet boating. He was an avid craft beer enthusiast and loved going to breweries all over the country to try new brews. He looked forward to the Oregon Brewer's Festival, held in Portland, Oregon in late July and had attended the festival every year since 2009. He was an avid collector of handcrafted furniture, local artwork and watches as well as model trains, model ships and globes. He loved Peanuts comics and reading books by Charles Schulz, watching movies and reading books about history and other subjects. He was passionate about Giant Pandas and loved watching panda videos and movies and often read books about them. He was also fond of wombats which he discovered while in Australia. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 ½ years, Andrea Marshall of Bothell, Washington, parents Nancy and Mutt Pugh of Grand Saline, Texas, a brother Scott Hines of Dallas, Texas, mother Edythe and sister Kathie Dozier of Minnesota and a sister Debbie of Los Angeles, California. Aunt and Uncle OL and Lois Edwards of Scottsdale, Arizona, cousins Tommy and Andrea Edwards and family of Houston, Texas, Uncle Tom Edwards of Galveston, Texas, cousins Dana Edwards of Dallas, Texas and Randi Pantera of Tucson Arizona as well as several other family members.
