Graveside services for Mrs. Audrey May Riley Tompkins Riser, age 87, of Byrdstown will be conducted 10 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 from the Love Lady Sims Cemetery in Byrdstown. Bro. Randy Tompkins will officiate. The family will welcome friends at the Graveside. Mrs. Audrey passed from this life on Tuesday evening, January 22, 2019 from the Pickett County Health & Rehab. She was born September 22, 1931 in Pickett County Tennessee to the late Webster & Maggie Melton Riley. Audrey was a member of the First Baptist Church in Byrdstown. She taught school for many years in Davidson County, Tennessee. Audrey enjoyed working, and had a strong work ethic. She loved her children and grandchildren tremendously. Audrey always encouraged people to try hard and do better in all they did. Audrey leaves her sons, Doug Tompkins & wife Mary of Byrdstown, TN, and Greg Tompkins & wife Debbie of Burkesville, KY; daughter, Gina Tompkins Billings of Cookeville, TN; grandchildren, Sarah, Christa, Miranda, Amanda, Matthew, and Emily; 6 great-grandchildren; and brother, Frank Riley & wife Sue of Muncie, IN.
