Robert Lee Ware, Sr.; aka "Bob" and "Uncle Bubba", was born on March 7, 1946, in Dalton, GA. He was the 9th child of 15. He passed away with family by his side on Sunday, January 27, 2019.
Robert served 3 years in Vietnam as a soldier in the US Army, and upon completion of his military service, he went on to work in building management at the Roudebush VA Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He retired from the VA after 27 years of service. After a brief rest, he went on to work at Butler University in different departments serving with 10 years of distinction.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Vannessa Davis-Ware, and a blended family of 5 children: Ahmed Ware-Abdullah, Carnilla Ware, and stepsons Anthony Averitte, Nathan Davis, and Lawrence Davis, as well as 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 5, 2019, from 10:00am - 12:00pm, at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 West 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN, with his Celebration of Life following at 1:00pm.
