Barbara Tabor

Barbara Tabor, 88, of Baldwin, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday morning, February 6, 2019, at the Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, February 11, 2019, at First United Methodist Church in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 P.M. on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be in the Pence Cemetery, rural Baldwin, Iowa. Barbara Dwigans was born on July 7, 1930 in Carroll, Iowa, to Merritt Joseph and Ada Pearl (Long) Dwigans. She was a 1948 graduate of Manly High School and attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon for one year and then the University of Iowa from 1949 to 1951. She married Dennison Clifford Tabor on February 10, 1951 in Des Moines, Iowa. He preceded her in death on January 18, 2012. Dennison and Barbara returned home from Iowa City on March 6, 1951 to the family farm where she became a homemaker and volunteer extraordinaire. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dennison, a son Robert D.
