Anthony "Maro" Marinucci
Anthony "Maro" Marinucci, age 80 and lifelong resident of Ambler PA, died Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Abington Hospital Jefferson Health surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ambler, he was the son of the late Ernest and Rose (nee Varrese) Marinucci. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Marinucci and sister, Dorothy Del Conte. Anthony was a member of Ambler High School Class of 1956. He opened his own business "Maro's Floor Covering" on Butler Ave in Ambler in 1963 where it remains today as a second-generation business. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club of Ambler and the Ambler Businessmen's Group. Anthony loved his family time, especial spending time with his granddaughters. He was an avid reader. After retiring he and Jane purchased an RV and started to travel to Florida during the winter, and to Cape May, NJ in the summer. His hobbies included photography, Sudoku, and tending to his vegetable garden. He also enjoyed meeting friends for coffee at the Ambler McDonald's.
