Charles Schultz

Charles George Schultz, Sr. was born on February 29, 1932 to George and Ruth (Kuecker). He received his education from Whittemore public schools and graduated in 1950. Following his schooling he worked before entering the service on February 11, 1953. Charles served in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas and Dougway, Utah. Upon his honorable discharge on February 10, 1955, he returned to Whittemore. On December 11, 1955, Charles was united in marriage to Shirley Baker at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Whittemore. On March 5, 1959, he began working for A.M.P.I and worked there for 35 years until his retirement on March 4, 1994. Charles enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, and umpiring for many years. He was also the coach of the Whittemore little League for several years. He and Shirley enjoyed many winters in Arizona. He was a long time member of the Whittemore Fire Department, Seely-Walsh American Legion Post #425 and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Charles passed away on February 13, 2019 at the Algona Manor, where he was a resident.
