Jack Patrick Malloy, 53, passed away on February 25, 2019, after complications from heart surgery at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. He was born in Keokuk, Iowa, September 30, 1965, to Jack and Janet Malloy Mann. During his amazing life he was a musician in two notable bands, Ripper and Blend. He also hosted his own Orlando based TV Show called The Wacky Jacky Show and starred in Bike Week Exposed and several other movie projects. He had a production company and was a recognized videographer. Jack went to flight school in Florida. Jack earned his master certification in scuba diving and loved exploring the wrecks deep beneath the surface of the ocean. He also owned and operated successful home improvement businesses in Orlando, FL and Corpus Christi, TX. In his later years he became a Hypnotherapist in Los Angeles graduating with honors from HMI. His last project was a local radio show in Keokuk having returned to his home town due to health issues. Jack taught himself how to play drums and started singing with a group of friends around the age of 13. Indy 500. He also played in several other local bands. Jack enjoyed teaching his cousin, Diesel, how to play the drums. He loved flying kites and won first prize of $25 which he then spent on more kites and string. Jack also won a skateboard contest. He was a stiltwalker (homemade) in the Puck-e-she-tuck Parade in Keokuk. He was an award winning backstroke swimmer for the city of Keokuk. Jack, thinking this was not enough, worked with a friend to help raise money for the Children's Miracle Network in Malibu, CA. He also raised funds to purchase bicycles so that children who are less fortunate could enjoy the wind blowing through their hair along with other kids their age. At the age of 13, he experienced Europe with his parents. When Jacky was not helping raise money, playing in a band, scuba diving, or flying kites, he was spending time with his beloved fur baby, Farrah. Jack is survived by his mother Janet Mann; his two daughters Morgan Malloy Burns of Upper Iowa and Maya Courtney of FL; one aunt, Sandra Burgess of Montrose; Kinzie and Kyle Petty (Jack Mann's grandchildren); a special uncle, Dale Young; several cousins, Joy (Joe) Groseclose and their children (Megan and Joseph) of Montrose, Amy Burgess and her children (Matthew and April), Jennifer (Mike) Hamman and their children (Kaitlyn, Keri, Jack (Diesel) and Olivia (Sunshine) of Nauvoo, David Young and son (Brandon Young) of Burlington. Jack generously shared his affection with many friends (especially "his girls"). He was loved by all who met him. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Jack Malloy, grandmother and grandfather, Mary and William Mitchell, grandmother, Gladys Malloy, and several cousins on the Malloy side. Celebration of Jack's life will be Saturday, March 9th at 2:00 P.M. at St Paul United Church of Christ in Keokuk with visitation Friday, March 8 from 3:00-8:00 P.M. with family meeting friends and family from 5:00-8:00 P.M. In remembrance of his life, donations can be made to his mother Janet Mann for a music memorial to be announced later.
