Hilda May (Eichmeier) Stock, 90, of Dumont, Iowa, passed away March 21, 2011, at the Waverly Health Center, in Waverly, Iowa. She was born May 4, 1920, at the Hospital in Hampton, Iowa, to Fred and Zwaneta (Alberts) Eichmeier. Hilda went through first grade in Sheffield and then moved to Aredale and graduated in 1937. She had three brothers Fred, Herman and Albert and one sister Holda. Hilda was united in marriage to John Stock on November 24, 1938, at the Aredale Evangelical Church. They lived on a farm southwest of Dumont until they retired in 1981, and moved to Dumont. John passed away on November 11, 2003, after sixty-four years of marriage. Hilda was a homemaker and taught piano and organ. She was the Methodist organist for over sixty years. Hilda was a member of the New Hope Parish of the United Methodist Church in Dumont, the A and K Club and was a member of the Rebekah lodge for fifty years. She enjoyed camping and playing cards and bridge. Hilda is survived by her daughter Ramona Melendy of Dumont, granddaughters Deidre Ann (Richard) Easton and Bethany May Melendy (Mohammed) Ghnem and great grandson Tristan.
