Ralph W. Likes

Ralph W. Likes, age 91, formerly of 2104 Sunny Lane, Quincy, died Saturday at 5:48 PM in St. Vincent's Home, Quincy, IL. He was born December 15, 1919 in Richmond, MO, the son of Henry and Louise Drummond Likes. He was married to Elmyra Kraft. She preceded him in death in 1991. He had been a mechanic for Chatten Implement Company where he worked for over 30 years. Ralph served in the US Army during WWII from 1941-1945 and he received a purple heart. Survivors include: a son, Michael (Barbara) Likes of Quincy, IL; 3 daughters, Kathy (Donald) Pugh-Habiger of Independence, MO, Vera (James) Glasgow of Grain Valley, MO, and Linda (Dennis) Selby of Independence, MO; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters. Burial was in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veterans Home. www.hansenspear.com.
