Brent Charles Kuhn, 42, 3033 Lincoln Hill S.E., Quincy, died Monday, June 12, 2000 in Blessing Hospital Emergency Room. He was born March 6, 1958 in Quincy, Illinois, the son of Don Kuhn and Carole McGartland Kuhn. On February 19, 1983, he married Lisa Rae Wood in Bowen, IL. She survives. Mr. Kuhn was a 1976 graduate of Quincy High School and had worked for over 16 years for Kohl Wholesale. He was a member of Melrose United Methodist Church, a member of the Moose Lodge and a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local #688. He loved softball and continued to play with enthusiasm on the Wednesday, Friday and Thursday night K of C Leagues, as well as with the Melrose Chapel team. He cherished coaching his daughters in baseball and soccer. He was an avid bowler and bowled his first "300" March 13, 2000 in the ABC League. Deer hunting was a favorite pastime. He was an avid Cardinal baseball fan and Chicago Bulls fan, especially through the Jordan era. Funeral Services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, June 15, at the Melrose United Methodist Church, Rev. Roger Grimmett officiating. Burial in Quincy Memorial Park, Quincy, Illinois. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Children's Educational Fund or the charity of the donor's choice.
