Ruby Leota Hendrickson

Ruby Leota  Hendrickson , age 96, of Quincy, formerly of Canton, Missouri, died on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 11:00 pm in Sunset Home. She was born March 22, 1915 in Ursa, Illinois  the daughter of Grover Matthew and Alta Jane Mason Pryor.  On July 14, 1934 she married Walter Earl Hendrickson in Quincy, Illinois.  He preceded her in death February 3, 1979. She was a graduate of Senath High School in Senath, Missouri.  She had been employed at the State Street Store, Dollar General and at P.N. Hirsch in Canton as a cashier.  She moved to Quincy in 1993. She was a member of the Canton Methodist Church and was an avid quilter. Survivors include her son Richard "Hank" Hendrickson of Ojai, CA; 22 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, and 5 step grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her  parents, three children, Capt. James Hendrickson, Rose Alta Hendrickson Day and Rudy Lee Hendrickson, a great grandson Aaron James Hendrickson, and three brothers LeRoy, Lloyd and Marcus Pryor, and a sister-in-law, Luellen Pryor.
