In 1976, in memory of their son Jock, Bonita and John established the Jock Bogle Memorial Scholarship for promising Sun Prairie High School students majoring in music. She was a member of the Twentieth Century Club and also devoted considerable time to the American Cancer Society, eventually serving as the local chapter president Her family is grateful for the loving care Bonita was given by Dr. Gregory Motl, the staff at the Sun Prairie Health Care Center, St. Mary's Hospital, and HospiceCare where she spent her final days in dignity and comfort. Bonita was preceded in death by her mother and father, her beloved son Jock, and her loving husband John. She is survived by her son Kirk, daughter in law Julie, grandchildren John IV, Kirk Jr. (Millie), Libbie and Harrison Bogle. She is also survived by her sister Ellen Cioccio, brother George Lacey, nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, August 21 at CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD 3416 Swansee Ridge where friends may call from 3 p.m. until time of service. Internment and a dinner will follow.
