Kelly R. Moore

Kelly R. Moore, age 55, formerly of Quincy, passed away at 2:36pm on Tuesday, April 17th at his home in Buffalo, NY. Beloved and devoted father of Jillian Moore, Hilary Cox, Galen Moore, and Guthrie Moore; loving Grandfather of Claire Cox; Brother of Ronald (Janet) Moore and Tami (Gary) Parry. He married Laura Wade in 1981. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlotte(Von Holt) Moore and Donald Moore of Quincy, IL. Kelly attended Quincy Senior High School, graduating with the class of 1975, and attended John Wood Community College. He worked as Chief Engineer for the State of Illinois Department of Corrections. He was also a versatile percussionist, a philosopher, and a great cook. His grace, humor, generosity, and strength in the face of illness served as a constant inspiration to those lucky enough to have met him. Kelly enjoyed travel, and made fast friends wherever he went. We ask that you celebrate his life, and share your stories, memories, and love. Services:  Monday (April 23,2012) at 3:00 pm at Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with burial in Quincy Memorial Park.
