Jerome Francis Chmielewski

Jerome Francis Chmielewski, age 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2008 at HospiceCare. Jerome was born on April 24, 19 29 in Saginaw , MI. He received a B.S., M.S., and PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Michigan State University . Jerome was a Lieutenant JG CEC US Navy Design Engineer at Pratt and Whitney. Jerome was a faculty member for 2 years at Ohio University in Athens , OH and at Pittsburg University for 29 years before retiring in 1991 as Professor Emeritus of the School of Engineering . While at Pittsburg , he was a visiting Professor at American University in Beirut . Jerome was also a consultant for the Sky-Bus Transportation System. Jerome is survived by his brother Walter; niece Stefanie (Gordon) Statz and their children Nicholas and Matthew; and many cousins in Michigan and Poland .
