Cynthia A. Wells

Cynthia A. Wells, age 50, of 426 South 18th, died Monday, July 9, 2007 at 12:18 p.m. in Blessing Hospital. She was born February 13, 1957 in Quincy, Illinois the daughter of Ben L. and Betty T. Welchert Johnson. On November 26, 1975 she married James Wells in Quincy, Illinois. She was a 1975 graduate of Quincy High School. Cynthia was a housekeeper at Stoney Creek Inn and at other area hotels most recently. Survivors in addition to her husband include 2 sons, Anthony Wells and wife Carrie of New London, MO, and Jesse Wells of Quincy; a grandchild, Brianna Wells of New London, MO; 2 sisters, Terri Johnson of Clayton, IL, and Debbie Rummenie and husband Bill of Quincy; a brother, Phil Johnson and wife, Rindy, of Quincy, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be Thursday, July 12, 2007, at 11 am in Hansen-Spear Funeral Directors with Father John Carberry officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 am - 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials made to American Cancer Society in her name would be appreciated.[more]
