Violet C. Doyle, age 69, of of 5312 Highway 96 South, Quincy, died on Monday, November 26, 2007 at 7:25 p.m. in her residence. She was born October 8, 1938 in Pike County, Missouri the daughter of Frank and Hazel Perkins Griffith. She married Carl Moran. He survives. She later married John B. Doyle who preceded her in death. She was a factory worker for Motorola and farmed with her father. She then tended bar in Quincy and was a service attendant at a local gas station. Violet was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church where she belonged to the Women's Society. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Survivors include five children: Glenda Hild and her husband, Thomas, of Payson, IL; Gary Moran of Quincy; Carlene Williams and her husband, Randy; Tim Moran; and Rhonda Brinks, all of Payson, IL; 11 grandchildren: Leslie Brink of Payson, IL; Tina Peters of Camp Point, IL; Brandy and Melissa Schade of Portland, OR; Jason and Ryan Brinks of Payson, IL; Sara Williams of Quincy; Dell Williams of Payson, IL; Brittny Moran of Hannibal, MO; Megan and Carson Moran of Quincy; seven great-grandchildren; her stepmother, Nellie Griffith of Quincy; two ...[more]

ters and three brothers: Faye Ingal of Liberty; Nora Jean Boling of Camp Point, IL; Frank Griffith of Burton, IL; Larry Griffith of Liberty, IL; and Paul Griffith of Quincy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: LaVern Griffith and Albert Griffith; and four sisters: Dorothy Bessling; Katherine Francis; Katherine Quincy and Sandy Randall. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Father James Wheeler, OFM on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Anthony Catholic Church. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Hansen-Spear Funeral Home with a Liturgical Wake Service at 6:45 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials made to St. Anthony Church or Blessing Cancer Center in her name would be appreciated.
