Margaret Ann "Margo" Penrose, age 56 of 6631 White Oak Road, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 8:58 a.m. She was born May 12, 1952 in Quincy. Margo was the daughter of Dr. Hugh S. and Mary Zook Espey. On November 27, 1982 she married Patrick Penrose. He survives. Margo was a 1970 graduate of Quincy High School and went on to graduate from DePauw University, Greencastle, IN, in 1974. From 1975 - 1991 she worked in the accounting department at Gem City Savings and Loan and later for the Resolution Trust Company in Quincy. Margo worked for 19 years at H&R Block as a tax professional and she was Office Manager at Quincy Country Club since 1991. She was Principle Harpist for the Quincy Symphony Orchestra from 1975-2007. She was charter member and past President of PEO Chapter MK. Margo was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she was also a Trustee. Survivors in addition to her husband include: her son, Oliver Penrose of Overland Park, KS; her daughter, Elizabeth Penrose of Quincy; 2 sisters, Barbra and Mary Espey, both of Quincy; a brother, Hugh "Ned" Espey of Des Moines, IA; 2 nephews, Paul and Sam Espey, both of Des Moines , IA. s. Memorial Service: Saturday, July 11, 2009, at 6:30 pm in Trinity United Church of Christ. The family will greet friends starting at 5:00 pm at the church. There will be no burial. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ operating fund, The Quincy Symphony Orchestra, or the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis - Melanoma Research Fund. Hansen-Spear Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
