Ann M. Druck
Madison- Ann Druck, age 83, passed away on Tuesday May 5, 2009. Ann was born on March 26, 1926, to Ingrid and Willard Fantle, in Yankton, SD. She grew up in La Crosse, WI, and graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She attended the University of MN, gaining an extensive knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting. Later she used her education by working in her Father's Dept. Store in La Crosse. Ann met the love of her life, Lester, through Lester's brother-in-law, who had Lester travel from St. Paul, MN to La Crosse to meet her. Ann and Les were married on January 11, 1948, at her parent's home in La Crosse. They worked side by side in their dept. stores in Boscobel, Tomah and Madison. Ann owned and operated a bridal shop in Madison and also was an auditor for the University of WI System. Ann and Les's loving partnership continued in retirement with many trips to Florida and other destinations. Whitefish Bay, WI, Thomas (Umi) Druck of Seattle, WA and Lori (Richard) Kalnicky of Madison, WI. Ann is further survived by 7 grandchildren: Joshua (Jaime) Druck, Benjamin (Lisa) Kalnicky, Amanda Druck, Emily (Seth) Price, Aaron Druck, Shayna Druck, Miriam (Mike) Weitkum; 3 great grandchildren: Stella & Dylan Druck and Tyler Kalnicky; brothers: John (Pearl) Fantle, and Joel (Lorna) Fantle; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Willard Fantle, Jr. and her parents, Willard and Ingrid Fantle. Ann will be forever remembered for her quick wit and her warm and inviting smile. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be sadly missed. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday May 8, 2009, at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, WI.
