Minnie O. Lewis

Minnie O. Lewis, formerly of the Lincoln Douglas Apartments, Quincy, Illinois died Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. in North Adams Home, Mendon, Illinois. She was born November 27, 1911 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa the daughter of Frank and Nellie Galligher Osmanson. She married Russell Lewis. He preceded her in death in February of 1973. She worked for International Shoe Company in Quincy and for Knights in Sandwich, Illinois. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God in Quincy. Survivors include two nieces, Shirley (Bill) Schmidt of Clarksville, TN; Carol (Richard) Andrews of Del Rio, TN, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Osmanson and Nellie Walkup; her step father, Leonard Walkup; her first husband, Andy Freeman, a sister Lola Balsar, and a niece, Mary Harlan Abitz.
