Richard Hawkins

Richard E. "Rick" Hawkins , age 58, of Quincy, died Thursday, September 13, 2018, at 2:37 am in Barnes Jewish Hospital. Rick was born July 1, 1960 in Hannibal, Missouri, the son of Harry Lee and Flossie Jeanette Cannon Hawkins. He enjoyed going on road trips, especially when waterparks or Branson Missouri were involved. He loved conversation and talking with his friends. He never had a bad word to say about anybody. Rick attended church at Upper Room Christian Fellowship and Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ. He Loved to sing and frequently sang at church services. He attended Mark Twain High School in Center, MO. Survivors include: his partner since 2006, David Huffman of Quincy; three sisters, Anna (Ronald) Thomas of Bowling Green, MO, Tracy Andrews of Hannibal, MO, and Kim (fiance' Michael Hawk) Pence of New London, MO, two brothers, Robert Dale (Estelle) Hawkins of Monroe City, MO, and Torrell (Angie) Hawkins of Hannibal, MO; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles; and his beloved dog Tig.
