me working for the railroad company and had numerous odd jobs throughout his lifetime. Jose expected a lot from his children. He demanded respect and expected them to keep up with their chores and help support the family. They were all expected to help the family during summer vacation. He did reward them with a few excursions when the season was over, even taking them to Disney World. When Jose was not working, which was rare, he did enjoy fishing and hunting. Although he will mostly be remembered by his strong work ethic, leadership, and stern parenting style, his grandchildren were able to enjoy a more playful side to Guadalupe and they enjoyed spending time with him. Guadalupe is preceded in death by his parents, Aurelio and Eudalia Perez, loving wife of 56 years, Ramona S Perez, daughter, Margarita Perez, son, Reymundo Perez, brothers, Raul Perez, Gilberto Perez, and Jose Luis Perez, and sister Lucia Perez Salinas. He is survived by his children, Rogelio "Roy" Perez (Sayda), Guadalupe J. Perez Jr. (Yolanda), Rose M. Garza (Noe), Reynoldo Perez, Isabel Perez (Miguel), Alicia OcaƱas (Henry), Inez Lopez (Pedro), Ida Gallegos (Raul), and Hilda Martinez (Anselmo), sister, Elena Cantu (Juan+), San Juana Camacho (Roel), Soila Perez Rodriguez (Rosbelt), brother, Roberto Perez (Hermalinda), 39 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
