LOVED babies! She cherished every moment holding and rocking them. She volunteered her time visiting the sick and serving at the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry. She was a faithful servant and had a deep love for family and faith. Survivors include her ten children. Randy Darnall of the Philippines, Mike (Diane) Darnall, Tom (Marianne) Darnall, John (Ann) Darnall and Carol (Clark) Knickerbocker all of Burlington; Susan (Chris) Lundell and Nan (Randy) Peck both of Dubuque, Iowa; Larry Darnall of Austin, Texas, Tricia (Bob) Adolphson of Topeka, Kansas and Cathy (Randy) Anderson of Davenport; 18 grandchildren; Sarah Darnall, Todd Darnall, Hallie Darnall, Amanda Darnall, Elizabeth Bessine, Laura Anderson, Christian Darnall, Gabriel Darnall, Katie Lundell, Ben Lundell, Austin Adolphson, Jaime Miller, Anthony Peck, Andrew Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Jon Anderson, Aimee' Bailey, Liz Darnall and Andrew Knickerbocker; 16 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that were very special to her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers Tom Lohmann and Ted Lohmann. Mary's advice for the living is to "love one another". The Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Darnall will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30th at Divine Mercy Parish - St. John Catholic Church. The Very Rev. Father Marty Goetz will be the celebrant. The Des Moines County Resurrection Choir will provide music. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. Friday, March 29th at Lunning Chapel. The family will receive friends following the Rosary until 8:00 p.m. Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice, the St. Vincent de Paul food pantry or Hope Haven.
