Harry Christian Christensen

Harry Christian "Bud" Christensen, age 94, passed away April 2, 2019 gently and peacefully, as he lived. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Christensen; two infant sons and an infant daughter; brother, Morris Christensen; twin sister, Harriet Christensen; parents: Marinus and Maria Christensen. He is survived by his daughters: Penny Davey (Steve) and Pam Erixon (Jeff); grandchildren: Kate Davey, Chris Davey and Grace Erixon. Growing up on his family's dairy farm near 77th and Cass, formed Bud's lifelong appreciation for family, hard work, time outside, and whole milk. Bud lived most of his adult life in the Benson Community where he was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, and where he met Janet, his wife of 57 years. Known as the "Whistling Mailman" he delivered smiles while delivering the mail to Benson businesses and residents. CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE 10:30am, Sat. April 6, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church (2725 N. 60th Ave.) Visitation 6-8pm, Fri., April 5 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Private family burial at Forest Lawn Cemetery prior to services.
