Marian Rundle

HARMONY GROVE-Marian Francis Rundle, age 100, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2019. Marian was born on March 27, 1919 to Charles and Bertha Day in Mineral Point Township. She graduated from Mineral Point High School and the Beauty Academy of Madison. On April 5, 1939 she married James Rundle in Muscatine, Iowa. They farmed outside of Mineral Point for several years and later divorced. Marian then moved to Okee and owned the Okee Driftwood and Floral Shop where she crafted wedding flowers and floral arrangements. Marian was an exceptional markswoman, winning numerous trophies for trap shooting. Marian moved to Harmony Grove where she lived until her death. Marian is survived by a daughter, Dixie (Duane) Aiken; grandchildren, Donald (Kay) Aiken and Darcee (Vernon) Breunig. She is further survived by her great grandchildren, Cassie and Jacob Aiken and Hunter and Collin Breunig along with a great-great granddaughter, Lily. Marian was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, James; fiancé, Kahn Peterson and a grandson, Daniel Aiken. Private funeral services will be held.
