Wayne R. Jacobson

Wayne R. Jacobson, age 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Stoughton on Saturday, December 25, 2010.   He was born in Stoughton on September 1, 1933, a son of Irvin and Mildred (Kraiger) Jacobson.   Wayne graduated from Stoughton High School in 1951, and was united in marriage to Janet Blum in Dubuque, Iowa in 1953.   Wayne loved farming, raising tobacco, and at one time, held the world record for family farm tobacco production.   He enjoyed his work, gardening, canning, his grandchildren and animals.   In later years, he enjoyed windshield farming'.   He is survived by 11 children, Bruce ( Nancy), Gary (Felicia), Donn, Suzanne (Greg). Barbara, Carol (Kevin), Brian, Laurie (Richard), Randy (Eva), Mark (Mary) and Lisa (Bill); his sister, Ruth; many, many grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.   He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet; brother, Paul; infant brother, Arlin; and grand daughter, Anna Marie.   Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at 11:00 am at West Koshkonong Lutheran Church, 1911 Koshkonong Rd., Stoughton, with the Rev.
