Sheryl A. Lester

Sheryl A. Lester, age 80, of Council Bluffs, passed away April 30, 2019. Sheryl was born in Council Bluffs on September 15, 1938, to the late John and Marie (Skow) Helm. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Lester on November 7, 1957, and to this union son, Jeffrey and daughters, Julie and Jennifer were born. Sheryl served as secretary to the Mayor for the City of Council Bluffs for 29 years, retiring in 2002. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Dickinson. Survivors include her husband, LeRoy of Council Bluffs; son, Jeffrey Lester and his wife, Julie; daughters, Julie Williams and her husband, Rod, Jennifer McKern and her husband, Steve, all of Council Bluffs; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Chuck Helm and his wife, Kris.
