one of my siblings, Rod (Janet) Myers of Ames, Bob Myers of Ames, Mike (Laura) Myers of Boone, Chris (Paulette) Myers of Boone, Rob (Katherine) Myers of Lacona, Jeff Myers of Ames and Victoria (Tron) Smith of Ames. I cared deeply for all my aunts, uncles and cousins and had a special place in my heart for all my nieces and nephews. I was a friend to many. Whether spending time together in a boat or with a pole or the timber or on the course or on the stage, I appreciated each one of my friends and I'm so thankful for the many memories I made with each of them. I was a father to my daughter, Teresa. I taught her many important things in life, like how to catch nightcrawlers and how to bait a hook. However, nothing was more important than the final lesson I taught her...the importance of asking for forgiveness, just as we must ask for forgiveness before our Heavenly Father. In addition, the most important lesson my daughter taught me, was how to forgive. Hearing these words from her, provided light to lift me up and allowed me to take flight to my eternal Heavenly home, where I will praise God forever! Amen. A visitation with my friends and family, will take place on May 17, 2019, from 5-7:00 PM, at the Adams Funeral Home in Ames, IA, with funeral services taking place on May 18, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Hope Lutheran Church in Kelly, Iowa. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Adams Funeral Home and online condolences may be left for the family at www.adamssoderstrum.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial in my name has been established and may be directed to the family for those wishing to contribute.
