MOUNT HOREB-Roger George Hollfelder, age 79, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on May 26, 1939, in Madison, the son of George Hollfelder and Genevieve Reisdorf. Roger graduated from Mount Horeb in 1958. He married Trudy Barth on Oct. 16,1965, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Mount Horeb. In his earlier years, Roger farmed and eventually went to work for Mount Horeb High School, as a custodian, retiring in 2015. Roger was a people person; he knew someone everywhere he went. He loved to travel and had a knack for taking unforgettable photos. He enjoyed attending local school events and spending time outdoors, feeding his birds and watering his many flowers. Roger is survived by his wife, Trudy; children, Renee (Brian) Stoll and Kevin (John Heling) Hollfelder; brother, Lyle (Sharon) Hollfelder; godchild, Chad (Debbie) Hollfelder; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON CAMACHO FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 500 N. 8th Street, Mount Horeb, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday May 15, 2019, with Father Chahm presiding.
