Esther Martha Krueger

Sun Prairie- Esther M. Krueger, age 92, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center, Madison. Esther was born on August 5, 1916 in Wayside, WI the daughter of Ferdinand & Mathilda (Borchardt) Griepentrog.  She was united in marriage to Gilbert H. Krueger on June 13, 1942 in Milwaukee, until his death on February 18, 1972. Esther was a resident of Milwaukee from 1932-1987, West Bend from 1987-1996 and most recently Sun Prairie from 1996 to present. She was employed as a librarian with the Milwaukee Public School District for 18 years at the Townsend Street School retiring in 1986. Esther was a member of The Order of The Eastern Star, Trinity Presbyterian Church in Milwaukee and Our Savior's Lutheran Church in West Bend. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Michelle) Krueger, Mary ( Roy) Hood and James (Jayne) Krueger; sisters-in-law, LaVerne Griepentrog and Janice Krueger; grandchildren, Samuel Hood, Virginia Hood, Daniel Hood, Laura Hood and Steven Hood; other relatives and friends.  Besides her husband she...[more]

s preceded in death by her parents, sister, Cora (Herb) Bublitz, brothers, Norbert (Helen), Eldor (Evelyn) and Myron Griepentrog, and infant brother Reinhardt.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Chapel of the Chimes, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, WI with Rev. Jim O'Reilly-Christensen officiating. Family and Friends are invited to call on Wednesday at the chapel from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. A reception will follow the service in the Family Center.  In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Red Cross would be appreciated.
