Lucille H. Linnerud
Cambridge/Stoughton- Lucille H. Linnerud, age 78, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Nazareth House in Stoughton with her family at her side. Lucille was born in Stoughton on July 10, 1930, a daughter of the late Arnold and Hazel (Lemon) Halverson. She resided in the town of Dunkirk as a child, attended the Wheeler Prairie rural school and graduated from Stoughton High School in 1948. She was employed for many years as a secretary in the area with American Family Insurance of Stoughton, Cenex Company in Cottage Grove and more recently as an office secretary of the West Koshkonong Lutheran Church, of which she was a member. She married Arthur Linnerud on January 19, 1952. They farmed in the Stoughton/Cambridge area. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2006. ster-in-law, Audrey Halverson of Stoughton. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother, Roger Halverson. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the West Koshkonong Lutheran Church, 1911 Koshkonong Road, with Rev. Dowling officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church from noon until the time of services on Saturday. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at a luncheon at the church following the burial. Memorials may be made to West Koshkonong Lutheran Church if so desired. Special thanks to our faithful Pastor Dowling, Dr. Guirish Agni, the staff of Stoughton Hospital ER, Cambridge E.M.S., the Nazareth House staff and her friends at her Lawn Street apartment in Cambridge.
