ears delivering the Shopper; making 208 miles to many towns and cleaned the Windom Farm Credit building and kept the lawn mowed for twenty years. Delbert was a longtime, dedicated member of the American Lutheran Church in Windom where he was head usher since 1976. He loved John Deere machinery and still has many John Deere toys in his collection. Delbert also picked up old iron and took it to Mankato to sell. He also enjoyed playing cards and helping Lucille on the weekends cleaning two different business places. Recently, Delbert?s health had been declining and he became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society-The Village in Mt. Lake where he passed away peacefully on Friday evening, February 8, 2008, at the age of 85. Delbert is survived by his wife, Lucille Polzin of Windom; five children, and their spouses, Arland (Deborah) Polzin of Windom; Marlene (Mike) Simon of rural Windom; Merlin (Cheryl) Polzin of Ledyard, Iowa; Sharon (David) Evers of Jeffers; Richard (Teresa) Polzin of Amboy; eight grandchildren, Michelle (Mike) MacPherson of Elgin; Markeita (Brian) Tiegs of Lake Crystal; Theresa Polzin of Blue Earth; Jeffery (Stephanie) Evers of Windom; Sherri (Kelly) Negen of Windom; Christopher Polzin of Mankato; Kelley Polzin of Minneapolis; and Ashley Polzin-Mau of Windom; eight great-grandchildren, Kathryn and Kaden MacPherson; Jordan Polzin; Meredith and Emily Hentges; Dillon Evers; Emily and Allison Negen; three brother, Leonard (Elaine) of Springfield; Dale (Clare) Polzin of Lamberton; Larry Polzin of Jeffers; sisters-in-law, Velva Jean Polzin of Ringsted, Iowa; Lorraine Polzin of New Ulm; brother-in-law, Dave Buhr of Blaine; and many nieces and nephews. Delbert is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Russell Polzin; two grandchildren, Stacy McIntyre, wife of Scott McIntyre; Curtis Evers; four brothers and two sisters, Fremont; Lester; Orville; Myron Polzin; Marcella Buhr ; and infant sister.
