Ruth Olivia Richter

Madison--Ruth Olivia Richter, age 95 passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2009. Ruth was born on October 17, 1913, the daughter of Norwegian immigrants, Jens and Bertha (Herried) Legried. Ruth was born in the Town of Vienna, the eldest of seven children and  raised on a farm in DeForest. She enjoyed socializing, dining in and out, music, church, politics, and reading. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.   Ruth is survived by her grandchildren, Daniel Peterson and Julie Peterson; siblings, LaVerne (Valerie) Legried, Arlene Skindingsrude, and Burnette (David) Olson; sister-in-law, Anna Marie Legried, and many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, LaVon Lockwood and Janice Peterson; siblings, Lloyd Legried, Jerome Legried, and Signa Legried; and brother-in-law, Paul Skindingsrude.   Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E.
