Clinton Engines in Maquoketa for 14 years and then as a machinist at Caterpillar in Mt. Joy retiring in 1987.
Mr. Cummins was a member of the Maquoketa American Legion Post #75. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting boating fishing and camping. He was also an accomplished stock car driver and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is Survived by- His Wife- Shirley Cummins of Maquoketa IA; 1 Daughter- Margo(Mrs. Rusty) Park of Bradenton FL; 1 Son- Tony(Stacy) Cummins of Sarasota FL; 2 Step-Daughters- Pam(Mrs. Dean) Spain & Debra(Mrs. Russ) Hart both of Maquoketa IA; 2 Step-Sons- Dennis(Kathy) Appelhans of Monmouth IA & Joe Appelhans of Ankeny IA; 10 Grandchildren & 4 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
